Nvidia zou dit jaar helemaal geen nieuwe RTX-videokaarten meer willen uitbrengen. The Information meldt op basis van betrokkenen dat Nvidia dat heeft besloten vanwege de huidige ramtekorten.

Dat betekent dat er geen Super-versie van de RTX 50 uitkomt, maar ook dat de RTX 60-serie vertraagd wordt.

Microsoft heeft een lichtgewicht besturingssysteem uitgebracht waarmee Linux-applicaties in een sandbox kunnen draaien. Litebox is volledig in Rust geschreven en beschikbaar onder een MIT-licentie.

Het OS is bedoeld als alternatief voor VM's, maar dan een waarbij de kernel bijvoorbeeld niet gedeeld wordt.

De Nederlandse overheid is niet goed voorbereid op een mogelijke toekomst met quantumcomputers, waarschuwt de Algemene Rekenkamer. Een groot deel van de organisaties bij het Rijk heeft nog geen goede strategie om zich te beschermen tegen de mogelijke risico's van zulke computers, bijvoorbeeld op het gebied van versleuteling.

Bevolkingsonderzoek Nederland wil weer samenwerken met Clinical Diagnostics. Bij dat laboratorium lekten vorig jaar gevoelige, medische gegevens van tienduizenden vrouwen uit.

Volgens de verantwoordelijke staatssecretaris kan het niet anders, omdat er geen andere partijen zijn die dat werk kunnen overnemen. Het lab moet wel eerst beter worden beveiligd.

Het Ibis Styles Hotel in Arnhem liet zo'n twintig asielzoekers en een groep Oekraïense arbeidskrachten zonder geldige werkpapieren en tegen zeer lage vergoedingen schoonmaakwerk doen. Via allerlei schimmige tussenpersonen werden ze in het hotel aan het werk gezet, blijkt uit onderzoek van Nieuwsuur .

Deskundigen spreken van mensenhandel en uitbuiting. De Arbeidsinspectie is een onderzoek gestart naar de misstanden.

De schoonmakers werden op straat geronseld en hadden te maken met schimmige tussenpersonen van het Duitse bedrijf AHR Clean. Een deel van de schoonmakers kreeg niet of slechts gedeeltelijk betaald.

Delicate, rich and silky chocolate pots to round off a romantic dinner These chocolate pots are dark, silken and softly bitter, with enough richness to feel a little decadent, but not heavy. Make one to share or two individual ones, depending on your mood.

They can be made ahead, anywhere from an hour to a full day in advance, and will keep happily in the fridge. If they’ve been chilled for more than a couple of hours, let them sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes before serving.

They should feel cool against the spoon, but not fridge-cold, which dulls their luxurious texture. A slick of good olive oil and a pinch of flaky salt is a lovely contrast to the chocolate’s richness, but you could also top them with a few edible flowers or a scattering of grated chocolate and a raspberry or two.
